Concept

The first IAFD design competition of 2022 is tools for unity _ Bottle opener. As one of the dining etiquettes of the Mongols who once ruled the world, they have a habit of sharing meat with a single knife. Sharing a meal and drinking together with a sharp knife that can become a weapon create a deep and strong bond between people. Here, the knife is a token of mutual trust and the beginning of a link that connects people.

Today we share a beer after class and believe that one opener (tool) brings everyone closer. Challenge yourself with IAFD’s official beer opener design contest.

Schedule

Until the 17th of April 2022, you can register for the competition via this link. Designs can be submitted until the 20th of May 2022. The submission box will be located in the coordinator’s office.

Awards

3 designs will be chosen by the jurors and exhibited in the IAFD hallways before the reveal of the winner. At the end of the contest, a party will be organized to enjoy it all together and reveal the winner. The first prize design will have its name etched on a plaque that will hang in the IAFD hallways for everyone to see, and will be remembered for eternity as the best IAFD designer. Moreover, the winning design will be exhibited during the graduation show and give the honor to become a part of the jury in next year's contest.

Jury

The professional jury that will judge the nominees will be formed of anonymous IAFD teachers. The submitted works will be judged anonymously.

Conditions for participation

To participate, you will need to fill out the google form (as one person or as a group), furthermore you allow the organisers of the contest to use images of your work.
